Join us this Saturday (November 16th) at 7:30 PM for "Space and Time"
Join the UAB Computer Music Ensemble this Saturday, November 16th, at 7:30 PM in the Hulsey Recital Hall as they take you on a journey through "Space and Time." The concert will feature live performances of original computerized, computer assisted, and electro-acoustic music. The ensemble is comprised of advanced music technology students from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is directed by Dr. Scott L. Phillips. Highlights will include a rare didgeridoo performance, a composition based on audience participation, an original video sequence by CME alumnus Chris Humphries, and a cover of the Mambo Combo's "Fluid Velocity Head." Featured performers and composers include students Kevin Peek, Jeffrey Stahmer, Andrew Bostany, John Dewberry, James Cody, and Taylor Goodwin. It is sure to be an entertaining and enjoyable evening as the UAB CME takes you through "Space and Time."
